VW TRANSMISSION ADAPTER

Just like the subject of my review states, this adapter really should've been my first modification. This adapter has completely changed my driving experienced in only positive ways. My shifts were not only shortened which results in faster shifting but the FEELING of my shifts are much more "solid", "weighted" and the car feels even more "sporty" than it already does. It's difficult to put the experience into words, you just have to feel it for yourself. I should've gotten this ages ago

Fantastic, really ingenious!

5ish minutes to install this little metal brick onto your stock shift linkage and it seems to have dramatically reduced shift throws and has not added extra effort or any negative behaviors.

Shifts seem substantially shorter, way more than the advertised 28% would suggest. Notch-ier, more positive engagement to each gear. Stupid easy installation. Easiest modification I've ever made to any car, and it's inexpensive. Really hard to beat. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to shorten the throws on their MK7 shifter.

Realy wirth wile.much better shifting gear. Verry pleased with it. I can recommend it to all the GTI drivers.

The hardest part of the whole install was the removal of the stock airbox. It really is only held in by plugs, so although you think you're gonna break something, it eventually comes off with a bit of wiggling and pulling. The actual install of the adapter is simple with the required tools. It's also incredibly well built, the craftsmanship truly shows. Throws are reduced massively and everything tightened up. Can't recommend this mod enough.

I purchased this along with the shift knob for my mk7 gti. Love them! First I installed this adapter just to feel the difference and it made the shifter feel and sound just like an Subaru Sti shifter. That amazing crunchy precise and somewhat short feeling. Literally took 10 minutes to install. Buy one!

This is one of the best mods ever. It's so easy to install and makes the GTI shift great! The throws are short and crisp. If you own a MK& GTI with a stick shift, you need one of these!
