Shift throw is ideally matched for those who still want an OEM feel on their GTI. Transmission goes into each gear smoothly and precisely. This is an excellent, budget-friendly upgrade that requires very little effort to install. It's unbeatable in terms of convenience and performance!

This is a quality piece. Install was super straightforward, took less than ten minutes. The result is terrific - shorter thows, really positive feel. It's notchier, but in a good way. You undoubtedly know when you're out of third and in fourth, for example. Makes driving the car just a bit more fun which is the goal, right?

2017 Golf R Mk7. This is the bomb! I was considering the DAP short shift kit, which is much more complicated to install, and then I drove my friend's R with this short shift 'adapter.' Shifts are short and precise with a bit more positive feel than the unmodified shifter. Plus it is literally a 10 minute install. I love it and my only regret is I didn't buy this three years ago.

If you own a manual Mk7 and haven't done any shift mods yet, please do yourself a favor and at least get this. It is the easiest installation that should take you no more than 10 minutes and will give you an immediate feedback with your shifting that you will enjoy. While the shifter will still retaining it's movement if you were to wobble it in neutral, this particular piece will reduce the distance of forward and backward and also give a more firm/precise shift that means you know you popped it into the gear. Must buy for a MT mk7.

Recently purchased 2020 GTI S. Only complainant I have is the shifter. Loose and vague. I hated it, basically. Bought Short Shifter Adapter and paired it with Tyrol Sports bracket bushings and the difference is night and day. Shifts are crisp and exact. Thank you Boomba Racing for making my car perfect.

I can't get over how this bolt on shift adapter works just like an entire short shifter assembly. With a weighted shift knob the throws are so tight and crisp it's unreal. Highly recommend it!

for 80$ probably the best upgrade on the market for its price. Took 10 minutes to install and when you first hop in to drive the difference is immediately noticed. If you have 80$ buy this!
