FOCUS ST SHORT THROW SHIFTER

I love this thing, I only ordered the shifter itself, i didnt see the need for the adapter as i was more concerned with the length of the stock shifter, and setting the Boomba to 30% reduction is perfect for me. Great product guys. Install is cake, except in my case the small thin piece of trim behind the passenger airbag indicator was a real pain to get off without breaking it.

This kit is awesome! I installed it with the Boomba shifter bushings as well, like a whole new machine. I have several coworkers and friends amazed at how short the throws are!

Install was pretty straight forward on my 2017 ST. Tried the 30% setting first but couldn't get into the bottom gears. Decided to stick with 10% reduction and opt for the transmission side piece in the future. Solid piece both build quality And looks. Just wish the max reduction worked like it should, otherwise great product.

I purchased this short shift lever along with the shifters bushings and boomba 270g V2 knob. Quality is top notch with perfect fitment. I was hesitant about increased shift effort and misalignment but in the end it was nothing but perfect. Installation was straight forward (you should do the bushing too since you need to remove everything for the shift install). Just take you time and keep youtube handy for video reference. I would recommend doing the installation in a warm space where the car has acclimated or during the warmer months as you will be pulling plastic dash parts that use clips. I started out at 30% reduction but once installed you could change to another position in about 2 minutes. No need to disassemble the whole thing again. The combination of this lever, bushings and a new weighted knob make shifting super crisp. The stock shifter seems to "bounce a bit" when engaging. That is now gone. Shifts feel very solid, positive and really no more effort than stock. This is what I would have expected from the factory!

I have the Cobb short throw plate, but adding the boomba short throw makes my shifts super short, and exactly where I wanted it! A definite must have for the focus' truck length stock shift! Should have come like this from the manufacturer!

I was initially taken back by the price for this unit but had been eyeing it up for a while and figured it was time to give it a shot. The product itself is quality and solid, the install was straight forward and it shifts wonderfully, like it should have from the factory. Definitely should have done this when I picked up the car.

Easy installation due to boomba's amazing instructions. Have had mine on for maybe 2.5k miles and have not had a single issue.

I recently purchased the Boomba Racing short throw shifter for my 2014 Focus ST. First impression after opening the box was, that it looks like a real quality part. Installation went smooth, no issues with the Boomba shifter at all during the install. Since my install, I've put a few hundred miles on it, and I have to give it a solid 5 stars! Shifts are short, very exact, and no fight to get it in gear. The throw of this shifter is amazing. I don't know how anyone would spend over double the price of this shifter to get the one from that other company. I highly recommend this!
