This short shifter kit includes transmission adapter plate and our 3-way adjustable short throw shift lever, as well as the transmisson bushings and shifter base bushings. It’s everything you need to significantly reduce the shifter throw while also improving the shift feel and accuracy of your Ford Fiesta ST.
3 possible cable attachment combinations allow for shift reductions that range from 20% to 40%, making this kit truly customizable and a must-have for all drivers. Easy to install, and no modifications to the console or transmission are required. The short throw shifter retains the full functionality of the reverse lockout and a 30 degree bend, double that ot OEM, allowing the shift knob to sit in a much more comfortable position shower to the driver. The adapter plate is also weighted which aids in shifting momentum and positive engagement.
The short shifter kit is designed and manufactured in Boomba's manufacturing facility, right here in the United States and all mounting hardware are included. All components are precision CNC machined; the adapter plate is zinc plated billet steel while the shifter lever is comprised of black oxide billet steel and black anodized billet aluminum. The materials and coating were carefully chosen for strength and long lasting durability. A definite mod for daily drivers as well as autocross and road racing enthusiast!
Boomba Racing aluminum cable bracket and shifter base bushings are a direct replacement for the OEM rubber bushings. Once installed, they completely eliminate excess movement in the shifter cable bracket, creating a much more precise and exact shifting experience.
These bushings are precision CNC machined from high quality aircraft grade billet aluminum and are available in 4 different colors: Natural Aluminum, and Red, Black or Blue Anodized.

Time consuming install but worth it.
My wife purchased this shift kit for me as a Birthday gift. Let me first say that this shortens the gear shifts considerably and also eliminates any mushy feel of the stock shifter. However, the install is very time consuming and can create a few headaches if you aren't prepared. The most difficult part is removing the side shift arm once the entire shift assembly has been pulled out. To do this you have to pry up on a plastic clip that is maybe 1/2 inch long & 1/8 inch wide. I broke this clip trying to get the shift arm out. This made the entire shift assembly useless. I ordered a replacement through Ford for $135 and it took four days to arrive. My FiST was not drivable during this time. Once the new part arrived I had the Ford Tech remove the shift arm to avoid damaging it again. After that, reinstalling everything was pretty straight forward. Now that everything is installed it is a drastic improvement over the stock shifter and I am very happy. Make sure you set enough time aside to complete the job & don't rush it.

Well worth the money.
Got it all installed a couple days ago and so far so good. Nice reduction to throws. Changed gear oil to motul 300 at the same time. Shifts are nice and solid. The craftsmanship on these parts is impeccable, especially the shifter arm itself. Fit and finish are spot on. Not sure if the bushings do much to improve shifting feel seeing as how they don't fit snug into the openings where the rubber ones used to be. But the rigidity of them may come into play with them being tightened down as they are. Time will tell. Haven't gotten a real aggressive drive on the set up yet but as of now, it's great.

I am in Southern California and I got SAE motorsports in oceanside to install the shifter and blow off valve adapter and I LOVE IT. I had them set it on the shortest throw and It was a dramatic improvement from stock. I recommend this product to all FiestaST drivers. I drove Palomar mountain last night, and I had a blast on every shift!
