Throw Reduction
This shift knob reduces the throw of your shifter by 28% over stock by shortening the height by 2 whole inches. Pair this with our Short Shift Transmission Adapter for a combined reduction of 48% over stock.
Design Features
These shift knobs feature a precision CNC machined brass core for added weight as well as a delrin shell for durability, excellent appearance, and temperature management. A heavier shift knob puts the weight towards the end of the shift lever. This increased momentum while shifting provides a greater mechanical advantage, allowing for a much more positive feeling throw when rowing through the gears.
The delrin shell, with a laser-etched Boomba logo, prevents the surface of the shift knob from getting too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. These shift knobs make a great addition to your MK7 interior! They are secured to your shifter with various set screws.

GTI Weighted shift knob
This is a very nice part that installed in minutes. It would have received five stars, but for the rough texture of the engraved shift pattern, and that that pattern is on a separate piece- not engraved directly into the knob. Other than that minor complaint, I would definitely recommend the knob, and Boomba, for their very prompt shipping.

Amazing!
Best bang for your buck. Least expensive mk7 shift knob available I believe. Also, the one of the heavier ones at 400g. Solid construction, excellent quality, simple/timeless design with the gear stamp. Sits low and might not be the most appealing to some, but I think it looks sportier and amazing!

Will fit a MK4 Jetta!!
I did some research on weighted shift knobs and VW shifter shafts. This knob is listed for a MK7 GTI but fit my MK4 Jetta GLI perfect! Fits great and the weight is perfect!! The temperature neutral design is also a lifesaver here in Florida!

Quality
I shopped around for a few months before purchasing a shift knob. For me price was a big deal, most of the quality weighted knobs are over $100. I just couldn't justify that kind of expense. This knob came in at just over $75 which was perfect. The feel and quality are spot on. The material (Delrin) is very good especially for being in California as its temperature neutral for the most part. This knob is a very high quality well built piece. Looks fantastic when installed. Easy to follow install video. Highly recommend.

best bang for your buck!
This shift knob feels and looks great! I have it paired with the boomba short shifter and I have to say you can't go wrong with this combo. I was looking at "other" shift knobs and I couldn't justify the price but with boomba it's truly the best bang for your buck. The knob has a perfect fit in your hand and with the heavy weight to the knob it feels smooth from gear to gear. Very easy install and they give you the basic hardware for install. Great product!

Quality Knob
I have this knob paired with the short throw adapter that Boomba sells as well, and the combo makes for a fantastic shifting experience. The throws are always positive and just thunk into gear. The height is also fantastic, and it looks absolutely great in the car! I love that it doesn't bunch up the shifter leather either. I noticed how common this was among other knobs out there for some reason. The knob itself feels metal-like (I didn't know what delrin felt like before), but since it is delrin it should be comfortable through all four seasons. Initial impressions are very, very good! I would recommend it to anybody! My GTI feels like a snickety little race car now :)
