FIESTA ST WING RISERS

When Boomba requested my review of their wing risers, I hadn't installed them yet, but now all is finished! As the other reviewers stated, the installation was (almost!) easy, as I DID manage to drop a center bolt into the hatch, where it may remain forever unless I can fish it out with a magnet! I would add some modifications to Boomba's excellent installation video, though, as I was doing this all by myself! After affixing the 6 risers, I found that by using twine to hold the hatch nearly level, it was MUCH easier to locate the wing with 6 risers! Then, when risers were in place, I used a thin black marker to outline where they needed to go--and I assisted the correct location by using a thin polymer sprue from my many model kits to pass from the hatch side into the riser holes so that I was assured that they were located correctly. As opposed to using the center bolts first, I used the OUTSIDE screws to locate the wing. Then, removed the wing and tightened down ALL 6 risers. (At that point, some WD40 removed the marker outlining the risers.) I used Griot's Garage "Wax remover" on the hatch where the Boomba supplied stickers were to go (better adhesion?) and applied the stickers very carefully. Getting the wing back into place was easy, and I started affixing the wing again from the outer screws/washers, finishing with the center bolts, ONE of which managed to drop into the hatch. Other than that, all went well. I WISH Ford had used a standard Hex Head bolt for the center bolts, as the shoulder on the bolts they used preclude the use of a deep well socket (8mm) to help HOLD the bolt better until the threads have started. You cannot get the bolts deep into a socket, as the head is maybe 1/8" thick. I may use some rubber cement to hold the last bolt (IF I can find it thru the Ford dealer today!) into the socket! Bottom line: this is a GREAT product, and is relatively easy for a solo installation. Unfortunately for me, if something can go wrong, it WILL! You others on Boomba's site will probably fly through this installation! THANKS, Boomba, for another great FiST aftermarket accessory!

Boomba Racing asked me to evaluate their Wing Riser kit, but all I can say is that IT LOOKS GREAT, as I have not yet installed it! The amount of CNC machining is obvious, hence the cost. I ordered mine in blue, to contrast with my race red FiST. Also, I have watched the video at leastt 20 times, and I HOPE I can get the risers attached correctly! I'm certain that many others will be able to write here to state how easy installation was, etc., BUT I will look to see what has been written after I get my wing risers installed! What I HAVE discovered is that I have now ordered darn near everything Boomba Racing makes for the FiST!

The ease of the installation on this is just great. The finish and the feel are both very nice and sturdy in appearance. The ONLY negative I have to say is the size of the stickers. Making them slightly larger would be nice. Possibly also adding a few extra, in case of a lost or ruined one. Great job Boomba!

Recently installed on my FiST and I love the look they give the car. Installation was straight forward and didn't take much time at all. Highly recommend this product.

Nicely made and finished. Mine are black anodized. Only issue was my shipment was short some of the stickers to cover the pin and clip holes. Otherwise great product. Makes the FiST look right for me.

Very happy with my purchase, worth the price. Easy install & instructions / videos available online. *Stated below* I agree slightly larger stickers than provided would be great. Thank you Boomba!

Install instructions provided per website, videos provided as well, easy to install, fit is outstanding. Only improvement would be slightly larger stickers to cover the hatch body holes resulting from the raising of spoiler away from the hatch. Couldn't be more pleased!
