Boomba Racing aluminum cable bracket bushings are a direct replacement for the OEM rubber bushings. Once installed, they completely eliminate excess movement in the shifter cable bracket, creating a much more precise and exact shifting experience.
These bushings are precision CNC machined from high quality aircraft grade billet aluminum and are available in 4 different colors: Natural Aluminum, and Red, Black or Blue Anodized.

Tranny bushings
Not the easiest to install. Have to take quite a bit apart just access these. Super glued the rear one that sits sideways so I didn't drop anything. Installed with shifter base bushings. Not a huge difference to me (haven't driven the car much yet) but definitely not as clunky when shifting now

Good except color
They work amazing, and I’d give the instal a 3/10 for difficulty (some swearing and burnt hands involved but not bad). However, I dislike the coloring on this and my other boomba parts. They are a pale, almost sun faded red, as compared to all of my other race red parts. Not bad quality, just off color on all 5 of my parts ordered at different times

My transmission bracket bushing review
Great product, high quality, looks awesome and machined very well. I put a little dab of gorilla glue on each bushing and clamped it for a few minutes before installing into engine bay. There were no instructions included so YouTube was the way to go. When installing the lower bushings, put the smaller bushing on top and the thicker bushing on the bottom. When it comes to the vertical bushing, put the thicker bushing on the outside left, near the bolt head, and the thinner bushing on the inside. If you flip these the other way around d, the bolts will not thread. BE CAREFULof the small bracket that holds the reverse cable. Once you remove the bolt, there will be nothing holding it in place and it will more than likely fall into the engine pan. This is a pain, as you now have to find it and fish it out. You DO NOT have to take the battery box out for this install. I was installing several parts all at one time and found d that this was the best way as it allowed for much more space to work with.

These solid aluminum bushings remove all traces of flex in the transmission bracket. Installation was a buy trying due to the bolt locations, but that is a Ford problem, not a Boomba problem. Using a dab of hot glue on each side of each bushing to hold it in place during install worked very well. These bushings, combined with the shifter base bushings are a great, quick upgrade for your Focus ST/RS. The shifter has a much more bolt-action like feel.

Night & Day difference
These cable bracket bushings took my Focus ST shifter from sloppy to solid with an increase in positive engagement. Worth every penny.

Big difference
You find realize how much the shifter bracket moves about, until you install these bushings. Shifting is much more crisp, and precise, especially if you couple them up with a new shifter cable bushing.
