This extremely durable and high quality bracket is constructed out of billet steel. It installs easily and mounts to the existing input bracket on top of your Focus ST/RS transmission, reducing your shifter throws by 20% or 30%. The increased weight of 21oz also aids in shifting momentum and positive engagement.
The adapter bracket is designed and manufactured in Boomba's manufacturing facility, right here in the United States and all mounting hardware are included. All adaptor plates are zinc plated for durability and excellent appearance. A definite mod for daily drivers as well as autocross and road racing enthusiast!

Incredible Difference
Just this plate alone made a huge difference with the shifter feel. Throws are way shorter and feel more solid. Highly recommend!

great short shifter!
I ordered this short shifter adapter at the recommendation of a friend as I was a bit on the fence at first. The shifter though is great. I used the 30% reduction and it is much nicer than stock. It adds a bit more effort to shift but you get used to it after about a week. The extra weight helps you make sure you're in gear. Very nice product

perfect fitment, high quality, solid design
Short version of my story... This product is amazing! High quality, thought out design, perfect fitment, and easy to install. Best of the options out there, imho. Thank you Boomba Racing. long version... I am generally very picky about putting on any afermarket product, and research to get all the info as I can on a product. After looking at all the different vendors that make this type of product I found that apart from physical dimension variances, that there were also material differences. I was already skeptical about adding some bracket to the oem lever, so I originally wanted to go either with one like mountune that replaces the lever, or FRPP short shifter kit where your replacing the whole shifter lever assembly. To me, the oem shifter throw just felt too long, especially in 3rd gear. This car has the softest clutch pedal feel I have owned, so on top of, what to me is, a really long throw on the oem shifter, I think that is a big culprit I am having 3rd gear engagement issues. After ordering the BOOMBA product, I immediately realized how beefy and heavy this thing is. Really impressive, honestly I was expecting some lightweight adapter plate. Fitment was spot on, install is really straightforward. Everything only goes on one way. The bottom support bracket goes on either side, its not specific. Just just make sure you snug down the two allen bolts evenly. I lubed up the knob where the shifter arm attaches to for good measure. I set mine intially to the first hole, which is 30% reduction I believe. I didnt go any shorter as that was perfect. I have been really impressed with everything I have purchased from them so far. My last platform I purchased one of their mounts for the evo8 platform and was thoroughly impressed as well. Thanks Boomba.

Easy install, great results
Ordered on a Monday and received and installed it 2 days later. Install took about 15 minutes and I couldn't be happier with the results. Shifter feeling has slightly improved and the shorter throw is great. I also noticed no increase in shifting effort. After about a 45 minute test drive I couldn't find any negatives about this adapter. Every shift feels good and never questioned if I shifted all the way into any gear.

Very easy install! Took about 20-30 min. Feels much better than the stock throw. I am very satisfied with this matched with boombas shift knob.

Focus ST short shift plate, initial impression.
Build quality: solid. Fit and finish: very good Ease of install: pretty straightforward, if you can change your own oil, you can do this. It does what boomba say it will do. Shortens up the throw of the shift. I feel the 30% setting is just perfect. -Tony C.

Wow!
Install was a breeze. I like not having to remove the shift arm to install this. I already have the Boomba Short Throw Shifter and this is the perfect compliment. I have the two combined to reduce throws 51% . Even my fiance grins when she goes through the gears, so you know its sweet! The shift effort is increased, but nothing you won't get used to. I did pair the shifter with a heavy shift knob to reduce shift effort. Nice piece Boomba!
