This short shift lever is built for performance without compromising comfort. It installs easily, replacing the OEM shift lever on your '20+ KIA Forte GT 6MT with no modifications required to the surrounding console. The re-engineered lever reduces shift travel by 30%, providing a shorter and crisper shifting experience as you row through the gears. The shifter is also positioned closer to the driver by half an inch, putting the shift knob in a much more comfortable position, all while retaining full functionality of the reverse lockout.
The shift lever is threaded for M10x1.25 and includes the Boomba Racing weighted shift knob.
Weighted shift knobs feature a 270g precision CNC machined brass core for added weight, along with a delrin shell for durability, excellent appearance, and ‘temperature management’. A heavier shift knob places the weight towards the end of the shift lever, increasing momentum while shifting and providing a greater mechanical advantage for a more positive throw. The delrin shell, adorned with a laser-etched Boomba logo, prevents the surface of the shift knob from getting too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. These shift knobs are a great addition to your Veloster interior!

The shifter and collar are designed and manufactured in Boomba's facility, right here in the U.S., and all mounting hardware is included. All shift levers are precision CNC machined from black oxide billet steel, anodized billet aluminum, and high-quality delrin for maximum strength and durability. Shifter
Car drives great with the Boomba shifter. Going into reverse is really close to the bezel around the shifter and I had some issue with the shifter not centering back to the middle when I mocked it together, other videos on the internet show the issue. I had to wet sand the pivot ball on the shifter and sand a little of the boot it sits in. Other than that, it’s a game changer for the feel for the car.

This...completes the Forte GT 6MT
Overall install took 4 hours. Knob itself feels so much better than stock. Shifts are much crisper and satisfying. It tightens up the feel of the car to complement the fairly decent OEM sport suspension. Now the whole car feels satisfyingly tight at the wheel and the shifter. Worth every penny. Thank you so much Boomba. Make sure to upgrade the shifter assembly bushings while you are at it, they compliment perfectly. I was amazed how much the bushings and this shifter kit changed the car 180 degrees. Zoom!

Better than ever
My old shifter had a rattle that wouldn't go away and the dealer was unable to fix it , that's gone. And now I have a very comfortable shifter. Very smooth with a good throw.

Great Shift Kit!
Super easy install and the throws are more precise. I like that it moves the shifter closer to the center console too, my elbow just missed the arm rest before. Great install video. Keep up the great work Boomba!

Forte GT Short Shifter
I had a lot of issues with my OEM shifter. It rattled, it vibrated and it was too light and hollow feeling. Not only that, but the fact that it is all one piece and doesn't have a threaded knob is a real inconvenience. The Boomba short shifter was a lengthy, but fairly easy install and it solved all of my issues. The weighted shift knob, as with the one I had in my Focus ST, feels incredible, along with the shorter lever. This is a must-have modification for the Forte GT.

Wait was worth it!
The feel and throws with the short shifter paired with the shift adapter boomba offers is absolutely amazing! Myself and others in the community have been waiting for this product for what seems like ages and it definitely did not disappoint!
